👋🏻I’m back from my digital detox! I’ve loved seeing these inspirational posts and felt inspired to do one for SUNCURSED. While it’s been years in the making, here are 8 things that have heavily shaped the story: ✨Astrology. I’ve always found some truth to the Zodiac signs (western astrology) and have been fascinated by the stars and their lore. 📚Fantasy Books. From a young age I’ve been drawn to the magic of fantasy and over time these have heavily shaped how I create my own stories. 🎥 Fantasy Movies. Similarly, I love being immersed in fantastical worlds with sweeping romances and adventures. I am a very visual person. 🧠Mental Health. As someone who has struggled with anxiety, depression, and OCD, I feel less alone when I see others talking about and navigating these challenges because they can be so isolating and debilitating. 🌿Nature. Mother Earth is a force to be reckoned with. She’s beautiful, she’s healing, she’s grounding. I always find myself in the elements. ✈️Travel. New places, new people, new experiences—seeing the world opens my mind. Traveling helps my creativity blossom. 🎶Music. I almost forgot to add this because it is literally embedded into my day to day. I am ALWAYS listening to music. Music helps me make sense of my feelings, my moods, and my emotions in a way that words alone can’t. SO MANY SCENES IN SUNCURSED are inspired by songs I can’t even count. I have an official playlist I’ll be sharing with everyone soon. ☁️Clouds. For some reason I have been fascinated by clouds and the sky for literally all my life. I started flying by myself when I was 8 years old (divorced parents) and I vividly recall seeing the clouds out the window for the first time and being in awe.
